Dasti narrowly escapes crash
MULTAN (July 30, 2010): Jamshed Khan Dasti, MNA did not board on air-blue's flight Wednesday along-with Haji Afzal Masud Chairman and Ata-ullah and Haji Mehboob Khan, Vice Chairmen of All Pakistan Oil-Tanker Owners Association (APOTA). Dasti cancelled the flight at the last moment, even after he had confirmed his reservation.



ABAD expresses grief over loss of lives
KARACHI (July 30, 2010): Association of Builders and Developers of Pakistan (ABAD) has expressed condolence on the sad demise of 152 persons in the unfortunate air crash. In a statement issued here on Thursday, Engr Farooq-uz-Zaman Khan, Chairman said that the shocking news of the sad demise of 152 persons in the unfortunate crash of the plane has filled the hearts of all Pakistanis with sorrow.



Airbus team reaches Islamabad to investigate plane mishap
KARACHI (July 30, 2010): A high level team of Airbus has reached Islamabad to investigate the Airblue aircraft accident. According to a press release issued by Airblue on Thursday A 6-member Airbus team headed by Nicolas Bardou, Director of Flight Safety, has arrived in Islamabad to assist in the investigation into the aircraft accident.



PIA expresses grief over demises in airplane crash
KARACHI (July 30, 2010): Managing Director PIA, Captain Muhammad Aijaz Haroon expressed condolence on the sad demise of passengers of Airblue flight ED 202 which met a tragic accident, killing all 152 passengers and crew onboard in Islamabad Wednesday.



Plane crash: Business community expresses sorrow
KARACHI (July 30, 2010): Chairman, Businessmen Group & former President-KCCI, Siraj Kassam Teli, President-KCCI, Abdul Majid Haji Muhammad, Vice Chairmen & former Presidents-KCCI, Tahir Khaliq, Zubair Motiwala, Haroon Farooki, Anjum Nisar, Senior Vice President-KCCI, Rasheeduddin Rashid, Vice President-KCCI, Javed Ahmed Vohra, and Managing Committee Members of KCCI, in a press statement, expressed sincere and deepest condolences to the bereaved families of the people dying in the tragic Airblue plane ED 202 crash in Islamabad.



APP grieved
KARACHI (July 30, 2010): An urgent meeting of Advertising Association of Pakistan (APP) was held at Karachi on Thursday July 29, 2010 to express deep sorrows and to condole with the families of the 152 passengers and crewmembers in the crash of Air Blue flight ED-202. May Allah Almighty bless the martyrs and grant them highest rank in Heaven - Amen.



Rains hamper black box search
ISLAMABAD (July 30, 2010): Pakistan observed a day of mourning on Thursday to commemorate the 152 victims of the crash of Airblue plane Air Bus A321 at Margalla Hills. The National Flag at Presidency, Parliament House, Supreme Court, Prime Minister House and Secretariat and all government buildings were to fly at half-mast to mourn the dead including 146 passengers and six crew members of the ill-fated airlines.



All rivers in high flood
LAHORE (July 30, 2010): High floods in all the four live rivers and the three days widespread heavy monsoon rains have caused havoc, destruction, uprooting and loss of life and property in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa provinces. Flood Warning Centre said here on Thursday afternoon that River Indus at Tarbela & Chashma, River Jhelum at Mangla River Chenab at Khanki & Qadirabad and River Kabul at Nowshera are in High flood.



Two buildings collapse: one dead, many injured persons rescued from debris
ISLAMABAD (July 30, 2010): One dead and many injured persons were dug out from the debris of a two story building which collapsed in Lorarai Bazar at Boring Road in Pirwadhai and there are reports of building collapse in Ziaul Haq Colony and Dhok Mangral, said a spokesman of Rescue 1122.



Appointment of superior court judges: procedure may compromise transparency in case of 'bargaining': SC
ISLAMABAD (July 30, 2010): The Supreme Court on Thursday observed that the proposed procedure for the appointment of superior courts judges' envisaged in the newly inserted Article 175-A through the 18th Amendment may compromise transparency in case of 'bargaining' among the political parties.
